Coopertown Police Chief Tyler Haley swore in Officer Troy Hickman on Monday, September 18, 2023.

Having been raised in Ohio in a rural, agricultural area, Officer Hickman says he was drawn to Coopertown as he feels there are a lot of similarities to his hometown allowing him an opportunity to relate to Coopertown residents. Officer Hickman will be undergoing a comprehensive field training program to acclimate him to the Coopertown Police Department and he will attend the POST transition school to laterally transfer his California POST certification to Tennessee. Please help us welcome Officer Hickman to our town. If you see him out and about, don’t hesitate to say hello.
