Domestic Violence Information and Resources

Coopertown Police Department Domestic Violence Instructor Lieutenant Levert Jackson has put together a comprehensive website with information regarding domestic violence resources and information to help spread awareness and assist domestic violence victims. TNDV.org is an excellent source of information.

According to studies, at least five million acts of domestic violence are committed against women each year, with more than three million committed against men. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that one in every four women and one in every seven men will be physically assaulted by an intimate partner at some point in their lives (as cited in Huecker et al., 2022).
