Coopertown Police Welcomes New Officer

Coopertown, Tennessee

As the Coopertown Police Department continues to grow, we welcome yet another officer to the Coopertown community. Please help us welcome Officer Antoine Hegwood to Coopertown. Before coming to Coopertown Police Department, Officer Hegwood worked as a Paraprofessional for Metro Schools Exceptional Education system, assisting special needs high school students. Additionally, he has experience as an armed guard and correctional officer. However, some may know Officer Hegwood by the moniker “Coach H,” as he was a head basketball coach for many years with Metro Nashville Public Schools. Officer Hegwood will be attending the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA) in the spring and will undergo a comprehensive field training program upon graduation from the academy. If you see Officer Hegwood out and about, please don’t hesitate to say hello and welcome him to Coopertown.
