Coopertown Police Welcome New Officers

Coopertown, Tennessee

Chief Tyler Haley swore in two new officers for Coopertown Police Department on Friday, July 7, 2023. Officer Edward Gallagher and Officer Randall Nichols are the department’s newest hires. Officer Edward Gallagher is a veteran of the United States Army and United States Marine Corps. He has experience working in corrections and was previously a Patrol Sergeant with Dickson County Sheriff’s Office. In the coming weeks, Officer Gallagher will undergo field training to acclimate him to Coopertown.

Officer Randall Nichols is a member of the Air National Guard. He begins his law enforcement career at Coopertown Police and will be attending the police academy starting this month. Upon completion of the police academy, Officer Nichols will undergo an extensive field training program. His wife attended his swearing in ceremony and was the first to pin on his badge.
