Coopertown, Tennessee<\/em><\/p>\n

Touch-A-Truck allows adults and children of all ages to get a close-up look at vehicles and equipment utilized by Coopertown\u2019s law enforcement, fire, EMS, and other first responder or rescue services. It also provides a fantastic chance to speak one-on-one with first responders. Coopertown\u2019s inaugural event was held on September 25, 2021, when Coopertown celebrated its 25th anniversary at Coopertown Middle School, and the Coopertown Police Department hosted its\u00a0First Annual Touch-A-Truck event<\/a>. The Fourth Annual Touch-A-Truck event is returning to\u00a0Coopertown Middle School<\/a>\u00a0on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 10 am to 4 pm.<\/p>\n

Numerous agencies have been invited to attend this year\u2019s event. However, their participation in the event may depend on available resources, call volume and\/or weather conditions. This year\u2019s list of invited agencies includes the\u00a0Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF)<\/a>,\u00a0Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP)<\/a>,\u00a0Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT)<\/a>,\u00a0Tennessee Highway Safety Office (THSO)<\/a>,\u00a0Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA)<\/a>,\u00a0Robertson County Sheriff\u2019s Office (RCSO)<\/a>,\u00a0Robertson County Emergency Management Agency (EMA)<\/a>,\u00a0Robertson County Emergency Medical Services (EMS)<\/a>,\u00a0Robertson County Animal Control (RCAC)<\/a>,\u00a0Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department (PVVFD)<\/a>,\u00a0Air Evac Lifeteam<\/a>, and the\u00a0United States Army<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition to all of the interesting vehicles and equipment on display, visitors to Touch-A-Truck can play cornhole, dunk a cop, get their face painted, enjoy music, and purchase some food and refreshments provided\u00a0by\u00a0Chick-Fil-A<\/a>,\u00a0Deja Moo<\/a>,\u00a0Kona Ice<\/a>, and\u00a0Whitt\u2019s Barbeque<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Touch-A-Truck also offers opportunities for stress relief. Have you ever gotten a ticket and wished you could you could get some revenge? Come dunk a cop. Donations are accepted at the Coopertown Police tent to benefit the agency\u2019s annual\u00a0Shop-With-A-Cop<\/a>\u00a0program. Throughout the year, Coopertown Police accept donations at their community events to help fund the\u00a0Shop-With-A-Cop<\/a>\u00a0program to ensure disadvantaged children in Coopertown receive gifts for Christmas.<\/p>\n
