According to studies, at least five million acts of domestic violence are committed against\u00a0women each year, with more than three million committed against\u00a0men. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that one in every four women and one in every seven men will be physically assaulted by an intimate partner at some point in their lives (as cited in Huecker et al., 2022).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
