Coopertown Police Host Jeeps4LittlePeeps Jeep Show & Shine
April 12 @ 8:00 am - 2:00 pm

As part of Coopertown Police’s ongoing effort to support the community they serve, the department does an annual Shop-With-A-Cop event, designed to ensure disadvantaged children receive Christmas gifts. Coopertown Police partner with Coopertown schools to help identify students who may not otherwise be able to receive Christmas gifts due to low income. Thanks to the support from the community, area businesses, volunteers, and the generous donations received by the Coopertown Police Department, the annual Shop-With-A-Cop event is able to help these children during the Christmas season. In addition to spreading Christmas cheer with gifts, the Shop-With-A-Cop event helps foster a positive interaction between children and law enforcement.

The event is funded 100% by donations. Throughout the year, Coopertown Police host several community events to help raise donations for the annual Shop-With-A-Cop event. One such event has been the agency’s Jeeps4LittlePeeps event, which initially started as a police-escorted Jeep ride. The response to the Jeep ride has become so overwhelming that it became difficult to manage an escorted ride of that magnitude. Additionally, there had been positive feedback regarding a “Show & Shine” event for Jeeps. Therefore, this year will mark the first year Coopertown Police are hosting the Jeeps4LittlePeeps Show & Shine event.

The event will be held at Coopertown Middle School on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 10 am to 2 pm. It is free and open to the public. Donations are appreciated and may be made at the Coopertown Police tent on the day of the event. Contestants in the Show & Shine event are required to register for the event and make a minimum $25 donation. Registration begins at 8 am. Jeeps will be judged in 4 categories – Best in Show, Best Modified, Best Vintage, and Muddiest Jeep. Winners in each category will receive a trophy and prizes donated by the event sponsors.
Food and refreshments will be available from B’More Salty, Kona Ice, and Whitt’s Barbeque. Various Jeep-related vendors will be on hand. (Vendor space is limited. Interested in being a part of this event? Contact Sergeant Parker at 615-382-7007 ext 204, or e-mail Parker@CoopertownTN.org)
