On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Coopertown Police Chief Tyler Haley proudly promoted Officer Amanda Baker to the rank of Sergeant, overseeing the patrol officers. Sergeant Baker’s husband attended the promotion ceremony, being the first to pin on Sergeant Baker’s new badge.


Sergeant Amanda Baker has been with Coopertown Police Department since August 2024 and has been in law enforcement since 2020. She is a veteran of the United States Army and has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, as well as an Associate’s degree as a Veterinary Technician. Sergeant Baker has experience as an investigator, dealing with crimes ranging from domestic violence to child abuse to homicide. Her wealth of experience and knowledge continues to serve her well as she has proven to be an asset to Coopertown Police Department and the Coopertown community.
