Coopertown, Tennessee
Coopertown held its 25th Anniversary Celebration last year on September 25, 2021, at Coopertown Middle School. The event featured Coopertown’s First Annual Touch-A-Truck event, hosted by Coopertown Police Department. Touch-A-Truck is an opportunity for adults and children of all ages to get a close up look at vehicles and equipment used by various law enforcement, Fire, EMS, and other first responder or rescue agencies that serve the Coopertown area. Additionally, it affords an excellent opportunity to be able to talk one-on-one with first responders.
During last year’s event, Coopertown Police Department featured a dunking booth, where visitors got the chance to dunk a cop. Donations at the dunking booth helped support Shop With A Cop in December, which allowed Coopertown Police to take many underprivileged children Christmas shopping.
Experience Robertson County and Touch-A-Truck
A countywide event held annually on the second Saturday of September, Experience Robertson County highlights each of the county’s 11 municipalities, where visitors experience the smoking barns of the fall, the Spirit of the Bell Witch, our historic whiskey industry and the amazing soil that feeds our agriculture roots (Experience Robertson County, n.d.). For this year’s event, Coopertown’s stop will be located at Pleasant View Volunteer Fire Department, Station 5, at 3752 Old Coopertown Rd, Springfield, TN 37172. The event will be held on September 10, 2022, from 10 am to 4 pm. Coopertown’s 2nd Annual Touch-A-Truck event will be hosted at the Coopertown Experience Robertson County stop. Coopertown Police will once again feature a dunking booth with proceeds from donations going to Shop With A Cop.
